Relaxing Journeys

The Copthorne Hotel with lake view room was magnificent. Hotel staff were extremely polite and helpful. The Kingsgate hotel in Te Anau was adequate. Location was convenient and staff were vey accommodating. All tours were outstanding, transit tickets were easy between cities and everyone was so nice. Relaxing Journeys did an incredible job and we had one of the best travel experiences ever.

Rana at Relaxing Journeys did a great job in sorting our self-drive holiday of the North Island; our second one with the company (we also did the South Island with them). Everything came together seamlessly as before. Hire car with Sat Nav (unless you have your own setup), as well as a NZ hardcopy map book/road atlas (to see the bigger picture and also to take alt routes suggested by GPS) are very useful to maximise your trip experience. We will be doing the South Island again in a couple of years; an easy hop for us from Brisbane, Australia.

Can’t recommend our drive/guide Corinne Watson highly enough. She made our journey enjoyable and went out of her way to accommodate some participants requests. I would recommend the tour operators to choose another accommodation then Heartland Hotel Haast. Our room and the room next to ours of another traveller had a terrible odour and no fridge.

Easy way to see New Zealand hassle free. The tour guide/coach driver Corinne was superb with knowledge and organisation. Advance information on tour options by Kirra Tours would be beneficial to allow time to think options over.

The planning, communication and execution was outstanding. These folks know exactly what they are doing. We have already recommended them to others who want help with planning and enjoying a road trip in NZ.

This was an expensive trip but worth it in my opinion. We stayed in great hotels, ate amazing food, the bus was impressive, the sights seen were stunning & everything was well organized and managed.

This is the second time we have used Relaxing Journeys and cannot fault any aspect of their service. We’ll be using them again in the future without hesitation.

Trip was fantastic, went smoothly with no issues checking in, good accommodation and customer service, car parking was an unexpected extra expense and slight issue in some instances.

We live in Ireland and have just returned from a wonderful, magical 35 days in New Zealand, touring both islands on a self-drive basis, organized in detail by Sally Laurie, of Relaxing Journeys. I cannot praise Sally’s efforts and organisation enough, from our initial enquiry to receiving the final itinerary. Everything worked like clockwork, and initial qualms that some days’ travel might be excessive and tiring proved not to be the case. New Zealand is a stunningly beautiful country with excellent roads, and full of friendly and helpful people, and we have returned with unforgettable memories – not to mention gigabytes of photos and videos! We thoroughly recommend the services of Sally and Relaxing Journeys.
