Our cruise on The Earnslaw and dinner at Walter Peak station was the highlight of our visit to Queenstown, it was wonderful. We loved the cruise and the sight of the homestead, brightly lit as we arrived was really magical. We were greeted by friendly staff and made to feel special, and the dinner was fantastic. The cruise back with a pianist and sing-a-long was great fun. Thanks Mani for organising this fabulous experience, it was very easy to book online and everything was well organised. We just loved it.

Walter Peak Gourmet BBQ Dinner was excellent. Loved every minute of it. The scenic boat road on the old steam boat was fantastic. The gourmet BBQ dinner was excellent. So much food and a huge variety and the staff and the dining room were also exceptional. Loved the sheep dog demonstration and the sheep sheering after. Fantastic value for money. Would go again in a heart beat.

This was an excellent meal with the evening extremely well organised. All staff very friendly and helpful even down to the chef, so congratulations to all involved. However if you want to sit back, relax and take your time over a meal this is not for you. It felt very rushed, no sooner had we been seated, then up we got to get our starters, then before you had time to finish, the main meal was ready to go. Looking back it really does suit the tour bus loads that attend mainly, and not so much for the small groups of individual people who like to take there evening out at a leisurely pace. The Earnslaw trip over (steam ship) is fantastic and on the way home there is a good old sing along. Very enjoyable evening but a bit rushed for my liking.

Excellent trip. Great to see the Earnslaw still going. Very inspiring! Dinner was very nice. Recommend lowering price of wine, it's a bit steep, and if there is a way to increase available room so back to back chairs don't hit each other. Other than that, choice ;)

Should be giving 5 stars as it was amazing but we were dead tired after 10 days of continuous adventures in NZ. The steamship retains an old world charm and the dinner at Walter Peak is amazingly diverse. Recommended to everyone for a quite night at the end of a tiring day.

We took my Mum and Dad over to Walter Peak for the cruise on TSS Earnslaw, Dinner, and Farm Show. From the moment they were on the Earnslaw they were in awe. Once we landed, we made our way to the amazing homestead. Once through the doors, the four of us were greeted very warmly, then it was explained to us that because there was a tour group of over 100, we would be sitting separately. We were ushered right through the main dining hall and it appeared they were about to 'shove' us 'out the back' - our jaws, at this stage, were dropping. We were shown to our table - which was in the beautiful bar/sitting area. We had our own private dining room, right in front of a large bay window with spectacular views across the lake. The staff were all amazing, and we were treated like royalty. Mum and Dad had the night of their lives. The food was the best we have ever experienced at a buffet style. We feel that this situation could not have been handled any more professionally or in a more friendly manner. Real Journeys made our night something to remember. This was one of several day excursions I had booked through Relaxing Journeys. I have also used RJs on previous visits to NZ. Whenever I had sent emails with any queries I had regarding any of our bookings, they were answered promptly, and in a very professional but friendly manner. I cannot recommend Relaxing Journeys highly enough. Would not hesitate using them in the future.

The Earnslaw was everything I'd hoped she'd be. Beautiful and so good to be able to see the coal firemen and all her workings inside. The sailing to Walter Peak was picturesque, comfy and, most importantly (and unlike Jetstar), on time! Walter Peak was only disappointing because we didn't have time to explore the animal park or see any of the farm, nor amazing views which must have been available from 'Walter Peak'. The meal and service was flawless, albeit somewhat formal (OTT), but I guess that's what some of the international tourists may want and expect (Trying to have a joke with the waiting staff, or even raise a smile wasn't easy... my wife and I, celebrating our wedding anniversary thought the staff must be feeling under enormous pressure to be ridiculously polite hehe). No criticism intended... great little odyssey.

A wonderful night, loved the piano playing the old songs as we cruised out to and from walter peak. The meal was superb, the service excellent. Beautiful setting, enjoyed the sheep being sheared and the time in the gift shop. Would have like a more time in the shop, but time is of the essence and a timetable has to be adhered too. thank you for a night to remember.

A superb evening - the ship is lovely and the Walter Peak experience was fantastic - a lifestyle I could easily become accustomed to, and in such beautiful surroundings! All very well run and hosted, and the sheepdog demonstration and sheep shearing was highly entertaining! The only downside was I didn't have time to rub my weight (in big red print on the back of my hand) off after bungy jumping!! A perfect evening.
