Tour Itinerary

Travel north over the spectacular Rimutaka Mountain range to the Wairarapa, Maori for “The glistening waters” – home to Wellington’s famous wine region. The alluvial soils of this region produce some of New Zealand’s best new wines.

On arrival in the beautiful town of Martinborough, visit carefully selected wineries for wine tastings and to learn about wine production in the region. Learn about the history of Martinborough and the development of the vineyards. Your guide will select from the many wineries and cafes dotted around for a sumptuous lunch. Afterwards you have time to browse the many boutique shops full of artisan cheese and olive oils made locally.
