Today, you will drive to New Norfolk in the picturesque Derwent Valley, known for its many small, family-run vineyards. Continue west to Queenstown and then to Strahan, situated at the head of Macquarie Harbour. This charming town is characterised by historic timber buildings, a scenic port, and a backdrop of dense native bush and mountains.
Our next destination is Coles Bay in the breathtaking Freycinet National Park. The park, dominated by the impressive pink granite outcrops of the Hazards Mountain Range, is teeming with bird and animal life and offers numerous walking trails. A highlight of your visit will be Wineglass Bay, a beautiful, curved bay with white sand and sparkling blue sea.
This morning is free for you to explore the scenic Tasman Peninsula before heading back to Hobart for some final sightseeing and shopping.
