  • 4Sights were amazing, accommodation very good, meals excellent. Pace was okay, a bit long in bus a few occasions (especially Christchurch to Picton). Felt coach captain was good but he had a very large group of 48, too much for one person - I would have like an escort to assist us.

  • 4I would have rated it excellent except for the miscommunication between Grand Pacific Tours and the operator of the Milford Sound cruise. Our cruise was cancelled and we missed seeing Milford Sound.

  • 5Got back from an incredible, lovely, fascinating, awesome journey of New Zealand. What a beautiful country. In-spite of the strong earthquake we felt in Wellington, nothing could stop us from a wonderful trip. We are full in capacity 42 I think, everybody is on time, get along and takes good care of one another, that is what made your trip worthwhile. We commended and applaud from Marie (tour consultant) to Riki - South Island coach guide and driver, Kevin - North Island coach guide and driver and the two lovely ladies from Christchurch and Auckland who attended our needs, thank you all so very much.

  • 5Marie was on top of everything and very prompt in her responses. Great customer service! While both tour driver/directors were excellent, Andrew (South Island) was superb. Food in each hotel were excellent. The dinner at Walter Peak station (Queensland ) was wonderful. Christchurch hotel is dated and accommodation could be improved. 46 people in a coach tour is somewhat larger than we are used to. Overall very happy with the tour and would recommend Grand Pacific to friends.

  • 5The tour was very well organised and everything ran smoothly. I lost my luggage at the airport and Johnette was very helpful in assisting with the recovery. It was great to have someone to speak to get it resolved.

  • 4The tour was well organised, we didn't need to worry about our luggage , practically all meals were catered for, a few adds on were included. Drivers were all good, very thorough. However, some days were unnecessary long , eg the trip to Mt.Cook, visiting two lakes which are almost the same. Some of the activities were not very appealing to Australians eg the Agrodome and the visit to the wild life farm which hadn't got wild animals. I would have like some more walks in the rain forest or the National parks, or places where NZ was famous for as we can see in movies!

  • 3Congratulations to Tour consultants Mani and Toni - their pre tour prompt communications and attention to detail with bookings were exceptional! Both Steves (Nth and Sth Islands' Coach drivers) were also exceptional and very knowledgeable and friendly. Coaches were always spotless. Both exceeded my expectations in their service and communications. I would bring to Grand Pacific's attention that the South Island coach blew very cold air down over the cold windows. Everyone had to wear coats to keep warm. Secondly the Nth Island coach's rear steps were often too steep for some seniors! The tour itself was very good up until Wellington and Auckland where the accommodations were disappointing and not up to the standard of everywhere else. Attractions included in the tour were enjoyable as well as optional extras. Sadly we were not able to take a helicopter ride over Franz Josef glacier due to arriving too late one day and leaving too early the next! Biggest disappointment - being dumped off the coach in Auckland! Some sightseeing with the group in Auckland and a farewell dinner together that night would have rounded off the trip nicely. It would also have given us a chance to contribute to a collection (tip) for our Driver Steve who deserved it.

  • 5Tour was lovely saw the wonderful scenery of New Zealand and the lovely and helpful people. From Leanne at Relaxing Journeys booking it up for us with no hassle, to the two drivers Paul in the South Island a man so knowledgeable about the South Island he makes it come alive for his coach party, and Linda in the North Island again so knowledgeable and nice to have a lady driver (good at finding things lost on the coach) . Our coach party were a nice crowd we all got on very well. A trip of a lifetime.

  • 5This tour was excellent in nearly all respects, although we initially reacted with some dismay to find out there were 47 people on the tour (the most we have ever toured with), all were very respective of their tour mates and virtually never late, which we have found rare on tours such as this. The coaches were first rate as were their drivers. Grand Pacific's attention to detail and organization was commendable. However, they dropped the ball with their hotel choice in Auckland. The Auckland City Copthorne is not convenient to restaurants or anything else a traveler staying more than one day might want. The hotel is at the edge of the University of Auckland Campus on one side and a somewhat blighted industry/business area on the other. Grand Pacific apparently got a bargain rate from the hotel for the warehousing of its passengers overnight before transferring them to the airport the following morning. The Copthorne Harbour would have been a good choice if Grand Pacific cared about its passengers as much as its bottom line since it is across the street from the ferry terminal and very near restaurants, stores and other amenities. Also, the 44 pound weight limit for each passenger's checked bag is ridiculous in light of the fact that all of the airlines that we flew on: United to Sydney, Virgin Australia to and from Cannes, Air New Zealand to Christchurch, and Air New Zealand from Auckland to Los Angeles have a 50 pound (23 kilo) weight limit. This is a comment we heard from other people on our tour.

  • 5Had a fantastic time, from start to finish. Had a lovely group, lots of laughs and banter. Steve our driver was brilliant, so kind and helpful and his knowledge is amazing. He never stopped trying to make our trip the best ever and he succeeded. Great ambassador for Grand Pacific. Hotels excellent with the exception of the Fox Glacier hotel. This one lets Grand Pacific down badly. The walk to the glacier is nonsense as it is about an hour's walk so this whole day should be removed from the itinerary. North Island was different, hotels and visits very good. Although Steve is a very good Driver and was helpful, he had a hard act to follow from Steve in the South Island. Again we had a great time and thank you for your help in getting the two single rooms for me and my brother. I would certainly recommend your tours to anyone in the UK. I work as a tourist guide in and around Birmingham, Stratford Upon Avon, Oxford and the Cotswolds and have done a lot of tour managing with Titan and Travelsphere, so I will certainly recommend you to everyone. Thank you again.
