Arrive Auckland

We’ll meet you on arrival and transfer you to your boutique hotel. At twilight, celebrate onboard a scenic cruise to Waiheke Island, where you will enjoy a wine tasting and a welcome dinner overlooking the city skyline.

Day 2
Auckland - Freedom of Choice Touring

Enjoy a city sights tour, before you’ll choose to explore Auckland’s wilderness or embark on an America’s Cup sailing experience. (B)

Day 3
Auckland - Hokianga

Depart Auckland for the Hokianga region today. Along the way, visit the Kauri Museum, which details the story of pioneering settlers of the Kauri industry, as well as the legacy of Kauri forests. Later, arrive at your retreat, situated on the shores of Hokianga Harbour.

Day 4

Choose your sightseeing today. Perhaps learn the Māori tradition of flax weaving with an interactive workshop, or nature lovers will delight with a scenic coastal walk. Hokianga - Bay of Islands - Auckland

Explore the Bay of Islands on a dolphin-watching cruise to Cape Brett and the famous Hole in the Rock. Meander through the inner islands, admiring the beaches and rocky outcrops. Enjoy your Signature Experience, then later, return to Auckland.

Auckland - Rotorua

Head to Matamata and experience Middle-earth during a tour of the Hobbiton Movie Set, as well as lunch at the Green Dragon Inn. Travel through the lush Waikato farmland to Cambridge and then continue south to Rotorua.

Day 7
Rotorua - Freedom of Choice Touring

Choose your activity today. Enjoy a farm show at the Agrodome followed by a kiwi encounter and a visit to Te Puia, or visit Wai-O-Tapu. Alternatively, see some of the sets from the Lord of the Rings or learn about the region’s history at the Rotorua Museum.

Rotorua - Taupō - Havelock North

This morning you will depart Rotorua and stop at the charming town of Taupō, set alongside New Zealand’s largest lake and boasting stunning views. After taking in the surrounds of Taupō, enter the Hawke’s Bay wine region with a stop in Napier on the way to Havelock North.

This evening, savour an inspired menu at Malo Restaurant at your hotel, showcasing New Zealand’s freshest cuisine, accompanied by some of the finest New Zealand wines.

Wellington - Picton - Blenheim

This morning board the Interislander ferry and cross Cook Strait. This journey is one of the most picturesque cruises in the world. Christchurch - Akaroa - Christchurch

Christchurch - TranzAlpine Train - Franz Josef

Today is sure to be a highlight of your holiday as you join New Zealand’s famous TranzAlpine train. Prepare to experience one of the world’s greatest train journeys as you voyage from Christchurch to Arthur’s Pass. Journey through the striking patchwork farmlands of the Canterbury Plains before travelling through deep gorges and river valleys, and across the Southern Alps within Arthur’s Pass National Park. Re-board your coach at Arthur’s Pass and set out for Hokitika. Here, see pounamu (jade) being carved into jewellery. Later, continue along the dramatic west coast into Westland Tai Poutini National Park, home to the magnificent Franz Josef Glacier. Take in the stunning alpine scenery in this impressive World Heritage Area. Check in to your luxury eco-resort before enjoying a four-course degustation dinner this evening.

Franz Josef

Today, Select your included sightseeing activity. Perhaps embark on a hike along an ancient path where a glacier once stood; as you encounter lush rainforest and pristine waterfalls. You also have the option to upgrade to a heli-hike, whoch includes a scenic helicopter flight over Franz Josef Glacier – additional cost and subject to weather, availability and minimum numbers. Franz Josef - Arrowtown - Queenstown

Enjoy a day of breathtaking scenery travelling along the Haast River Valley as you venture into the Central Otago region. See the vistas and surrounding mountains that shift moods with the seasons.

View historic mining sites in Arrowtown as we travel through the beautiful Kawarau Gorge and meander through Cromwell. Pass the incredible orchards and vineyards that have been inspiring artists for decades before arriving in Queenstown, where you’ll stay for three nights in comfortable and stylish accommodation.
