Central Otago wine country spreads from the outskirts of Queenstown’s Wakatipu Basin through picturesque valleys and dramatic gorges to the rolling vine-clad foothills of Bannockburn and beyond. A relaxed day of fine cuisine, good company, sampling local cheeses and tasting premium cool-climate wines.

Your journey includes unforgettable views and fascinating pioneer history, along with the smooth sophistication of award-winning gourmet food and wines among the region’s
soothing backdrop of tussock and thyme.

All daily tours run with a maximum of 11 people and allow you to see real drama in the scenery, hear the pristine silence of the high country, savour the scent of pure clean air and feel the pulse of the heart of Central Otago. Taste the wine, toast the region.

Tour Inclusions:

• Tasting at 5 vineyards in the Gibbston, Cromwell and Bannockburn regions
• An optional winery tour if the guide deems appropriate
  
• Visit New Zealand's largest underground wine cave
  
• A local cheese tasting at one of the vineyards
  
• A delightful platter style lunch at Northburn Station’s The Shed. Your Lunch Platter consists of things like Smoked Salmon, Cheeses, Chutneys, Pate’s, Fresh baked Breads& Pesto’s, all made where possible on the premises
  
• Visit to historic Old Cromwell Town (time and weather permitting)
  
• A stunning drive through the Kawarau Gorge whilst learning about the early pioneering history of this rugged region
  
• View the historic Kawarau Bridge and the original AJ Hackett Bungy jump
