On arrival at Auckland airport, you will be personally met by our representative & transferred in an executive sedan to your accommodation. Auckland to Bay of Islands
Your rental car will be delivered to your hotel this morning. Travel north over the Harbour Bridge and along the Hibiscus Coast to arrive in Paihia, a seaside town nestled on the shores of this National Maritime Park in the Bay of Islands. On arrival a visit to the historic Waitangi Treaty House is included. (B)

Cape Reinga Fly Drive
This morning, board your light aircraft & fly to Cape Reinga. View spectacular harbours and beaches including the famous Ninety Mile Beach. Once on the ground, spend approximately 2½ hours exploring & touring New Zealand’s northernmost point with a local guide. The return flight back to the Bay of Islands includes some of the most awesome coastal scenery Northland has to offer. This afternoon is free for relaxing or optional touring & cruises. (B)

Swim with the Dolphins
Dolphins are one of earth's most fascinating creatures and the Bay of Islands is blessed with their presence all year round. On this the ultimate marine adventure, you'll get right up close to the dolphins. Watch their antics and get fantastic photos. The Bay has the warmest waters in New Zealand for swimming with dolphins. You’ll get to the dolphins fast in a water-jet powered catamaran. It's the best vessel for dolphin viewing with large deck areas and plenty of room to move around. It's not just dolphins you’ll see - at times you'll see orcas, whales, seals, penguins and other wildlife.

After your Dolphin Encounter you'll have the added bonus of stopping off on beautiful Urupukapuka Island. If you wish, stay for the day at no extra cost. Enjoy the coastal walks and magnificent beaches or browse through the Maori Arts and Crafts centre. All snorkeling gear is provided as are wetsuits if required. (B)

Hokianga Twilight Encounter
Take a step back in time today as you make your way across the peninsula to the small beach resort of Opononi. There is time for an optional guided boat cruise of the beautiful and twisting harbour of Hokianga, an area that boasts the oldest Maori & European settlements in New Zealand. This evening, you will enjoy an eco-cultural experience unlike any other. Descendants of NZ's first Polynesian discoverer, Kupe, will take you on a guided walk of the largest kauri forest in the world and introduce you to their relationship with Mother Nature, both spiritually and culturally. This ecologically significant environment, in former times a home and playground to Maori, is brought to life by not only the sounds and potential sightings of its inhabitants but by friendly, experienced local Maori guides who willingly share their knowledge, stories, song and musical instruments to enlighten and enhance this tranquil and spiritual location. 'Twilight Encounter' is an experience that allows visitors to enter the Waipoua forest at a unique time - a time not experienced by many; a time when its inhabitants change; a time when seeing is replaced with listening and a time when the clouds and sun are replaced by stars and the moon. Hibiscus Coast, Auckland
Drive south this morning to Dargaville & then rejoin the Hibiscus Coast through the northern suburbs of Auckland, once again crossing the Harbour Bridge as you make your way back to New Zealand’s largest city. (B)
