Please ensure you have read the following terms and conditions before booking your tour.

Deposit

A deposit of $250 per person is required within 7 days of confirmation of your reservation. If this deposit is not received by Relaxing Journeys by the due date, reservations may be cancelled without notice. In addition, when treks, bicycle tours and some other more specialised product are included in an itinerary an additional deposit of $200 per person is required. Details will be advised at the time of booking by Relaxing Journeys Ltd.

Final Payment

(a) The balance of monies due must be received by Relaxing Journeys at least 45 days prior to departure to facilitate timely preparation and delivery of travel documents.

(b) When treks, bicycle tours and some other more specialised product are included in arrangements, final payment is due 65 days prior to departure.

A 1.5% Credit Card Fee applies to balances paid by credit card - balances can be paid direct into our account to avoid this fee.

Cancellation fees will be levied relative to the amount of notice given:

Refunds

Once departure date is reached, cancelled or unused services/vouchers are not refundable. Vehicle early return does not qualify for refund. Refunds cannot be authorised by service providers. Unused open vouchers may be refunded on application to Relaxing Journeys and an administration fee of $50 per file will apply.

Due to the diversity of product featured in this website it is not possible to practically detail all Conditions of Booking, Deposit and Cancellation information. Intending travelers with concerns as to specific details on these matters should raise them before requesting firm bookings be made on their behalf. Instruction to proceed with reservations is interpreted as accepting these conditions.

Holiday Duration

The first and last day of most structured holidays is considered a travelling day and therefore depending on flight times, may not necessarily be a whole day.

Amendment Fees

Once your reservations have been confirmed one alteration will be made without additional charges, but all subsequent changes will attract a minimum fee of $50.00 per file.

Late Payment Fees

Payments not made by the due date result in increased processing and communication costs in which case Relaxing Journeys reserves the right to impose a minimum fee of $50 per file.

Document Reissue

A fee of $50 per file will apply to reissue and dispatch documents.

Departure Dates

Subject to this clause, the dates shown in the website are set departure dates. In some circumstances, these departure dates may change depending on demand for tours. Where a client is affected by a departure date change, then the client’s consent as to alternatives will be sought.

Prices

All prices and amounts quoted in this website are for New Zealand land content only unless otherwise stated. Applicable airfares are additional. Prices may be subject to change during the validity of this website due to international currency fluctuations and other factors beyond the control of Relaxing Journeys. Any changes in prices affecting a client will be advised by email when requesting holiday arrangements. Relaxing Journeys are not responsible for errors/omissions or updates.

Not Included

Airport arrival/departure taxes, charges for excess luggage, personal services, gratuities, laundry, drinks, meals except as specified, pre-travel documentation, personal accident and medical expenses and incidental expenses including all communication charges incurred on passenger’s behalf. Return Airport transfers are not included if travellers have pre or post tour accommodation booked outside the tour hotels.

Responsibility

The transport companies or firms concerned are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are on board their aircraft or conveyances. The passenger contract in use by the carriers concerned when issued shall constitute the sole contract between the transportation companies or firms and the purchaser of these tours and/or passengers. Kirra Tours Ltd., and/or its associate companies or agents act only in the capacity of agents for the suppliers in all matters of transportation, tour operation and other services. Seasonal variation in airline transport and accommodation services may necessitate minor variations to itineraries and hotel standards. These will be made to the best advantage with appropriate adjustment to costs. All quotations are subject to tariff and rate variations to itineraries and hotel standards. Kirra Tours Ltd. assumes no responsibility for injury, damage, accident, loss, delay or irregularities that may be caused to person or property and all bookings are subject to the usual conditions of bookings of Kirra Tours Ltd. The transportation companies or firms shall be exempt from all liability in respect of any deterioration, delay, loss, damage, sickness, or injury, however, and by whomsoever caused and of whatever kind occurring of/or to the passenger at the time when the passengers are not on board the carrier or a conveyance used or operated by the transportation companies or firms. The passage contract in use by the transport companies or firms concerned shall constitute the sole contract between the transport companies or firms and the purchaser of these tours and/or passengers. All tickets, deposit tickets, coupons and orders are furnished and issued subject in all respects to those terms and conditions under which the means of transportation or other services provided thereby are offered or supplied by owners, operators, public carriers, managing agents or agents. The right is reserved to cancel or withdraw at any time bookings made by or for the client in which event no liability whatsoever in respect of such cancellation or withdrawal shall fall upon Kirra Tours Ltd., save only that there shall be refunded to the client the monies paid by him in respect of the bookings so cancelled or withdrawn.

Alterations or Cancellations by Operator

It is unlikely that we will make changes to your booking once it has been confirmed however the Operator reserves the right to do so on or before the balance due date. These changes are often minor and you will be notified immediately.

All tours featured require a minimum number of bookings before they will operate and on very rare occasions we may cancel a tour due to low passenger numbers. If there is a major change to your itinerary or if your tour is cancelled, providing this is not due to force majeure*, you will be notified at least six weeks before the tour is due to commence and offered an alternative itinerary.

You will have the option of accepting these alternative arrangements, in which case any difference in price will be refunded to you; purchasing another available holiday from us; or cancelling the booking completely whereby you will be given a full refund.

A decision to cancel should be received in writing no later than 14 days from advice of the new travel arrangements.

*Force majeure is used to describe unusual or unforeseen circumstances such as war, threat of war, riot, civil disorder, terrorist activity, strike, natural or industrial disaster, adverse weather conditions or similar events that are beyond our control.

Holiday Costs

Tour costs are a gross amount including all services stipulated and itinerary planning, currency transfers, booking procedures and communication costs.

Our website contains a lot of information and very occasionally mistakes are made when entering prices and/or information online. Relaxing Journeys are not responsible for errors/omissions or updates. All photographs in this website illustrate genuine events and places. Their use or particular positioning should not be interpreted as confirmation that those events and places will necessarily be seen. Any concerns in this regard should be directed in writing to the Managing Director, Relaxing Journeys prior to the finalisation of travel arrangements.

Conditions of Booking

By instructing Relaxing Journeys, either verbally or in writing to proceed with reservations on your behalf, the client shall be taken to have accepted these conditions of booking as binding.

Validity

Tours and prices stipulated in this website are valid as from 01 May 2011 until 30 September 2012, subject to variation in accordance with these conditions
