We do recommend that our guests hold a fully comprehensive travel insurance policy in case of any unexpected changes in their travel that may incur cancellation fees. Please be aware that scuba diving and in water activities are not covered by most travel insurance policies. Boarding and DisembarkingBoarding and disembarking times will be advised well in advance of departure dates. What to BringGenerally, clothing should be casual and lightweight. Bring 4 or 5 changes of clothes including shorts, t-shirts, collared and long-sleeved shirts (to avoid sunburn), windcheater, waterproof jacket, old reef walking shoes/neoprene slip-ons, and sturdy comfortable walking shoes/boots. Also include a hat, sunglasses, sunburn cream, insect repellent and toiletries. More detailed information will be provided following final payment. Smoking PolicySmoking is not permitted anywhere within vessel interiors. A small area is available outside where environmental care and respect is essential. Communications The ships bridge offers satellite telephones. Facsimiles can be sent and received via the
ship's office and, the library offers email and web services. TermsIEC will endeavor to adhere to the scheduled itinerary, but reserve the right to alter the proposed itinerary or cancel the trip in the event of weather conditions and vessel operation requirements. Trip itineraries are subject to change at the sole discretion of the Master of the Vessel. In the event that a trip is delayed, or cut short due to weather or medical emergency, fees will not be refunded. IEC will not be held financially responsible for an alternative trip or any accommodation, any inconvenience incurred, or for adverse weather conditions or illness as a result. Trip fees will not be refunded should you be unable to board in time for the scheduled departure. OtherAll divers must present a valid Certification Card before diving. Same gender cabin share is always guaranteed. Luggage/Weight RequirementsWhen transferring either way by helicopter your total luggage weight is strictly limited to 10 kilograms (22lb) per person and all bags must be soft sided. Secure storage is available at the Island Passage Auckland Wharf office. Safety Terms and Customer DeclarationIn any adventure activity, there is an element of risk involved. Risks in undertaking this activity may include fishing, diving and swimming together with Helicopter flights and expedition boat trips and usual Maritime conditions. The staff and management of Island Escape Cruises Limited take all practicable steps to identify and minimise potential dangers. However, you must follow our instructions and use the safety equipment provided at all times. Adults accompanying any person under the age of 18 must ensure that the underage person follows our instructions at all times. You must release or indemnify Island Escape Cruises Limited and our staff against any liability we incur to anyone else, resulting from your failure to follow our instructions or the failure of any person accompanying you under the age of 18 to follow our instructions. We reserve the right to withdraw any person who in our opinion is likely to endanger themselves or others. We also reserve the right to cancel the cruise if we become concerned for any reason for your safety or that of any other person. |
