Pacific Habour Lodge, Coromandel

Tairua is a small seaside resort and fishing village with a delightful harbour linked by two sandy white beaches. A headland island named Paku, which is joined by a sand dune stands at the harbour heads. Tairua is a favourite holiday / vacation resort of many New Zealander's, who have holiday homes around the harbour and on the surrounding hillsides. The ocean to the east, the mountains of the Coromandel to the west and dozens of idyllic white sandy beaches to the north and south.

Tairua has a permanent population of about 2,000 that swells to several thousand over Christmas and New Year. There is a small shopping centre with restaurants and most tourist facilities, fuel, pharmacy and a resident doctor.

Only twenty minutes to the famous 'Hot Water Beach' where you can make your own hot pool in the sand right on the edge of the Pacific Ocean. Pacific Habour Lodg have their own licensed boat to charter from the Lodge for fishing, diving or sight seeing, and Shell's Restaurant and Bar on site to tempt your taste buds in the evening.
