A recent $20 m upgrade has seen major enhancements to The Hermitage, including a contemporary and sophisticated foyer, remodelled cafe and the addition of the Aoraki wing of 60 superb rooms with spectacular views of Mount Cook. Go to sleep in luxury, wake to pure majesty!

Every room in the new Aoraki wing offers a superb night's sleep and great lavishness. From each immense picture window comes the perfect opportunity to witness the privileged moment when the first rays of light touch the white of the peak and night turns into day.

The 60 new Aoraki Wing rooms and the 104 Hermitage Superior rooms offer scenic views of the surrounding mountains, with 143 offering spectacular views of Mount Cook. All rooms have bathrooms, tea and coffee making facilities, TVs, and phones. Sauna facilities are also available for the use of in-house guests (not available during winter). Also located within this building are a Souvenir Shop and clothing outlet, a coffee shop, two restaurants and bar. The Hermitage along with world class activities in the park make the region a "must do" for both overnight and day visitors.

Hotel Food & Beverage

The range of food and beverage facilities available in the village ensures that all tastes are catered for. Within the Hermitage, there are two restaurants, the Alpine Restaurant (Buffet), and the Panorama Restaurant (A la Carte), as well as a Coffee Shop and Bar. Within Glencoe Lodge, the Chamois Bar is open daily for bar type meals.
